Chiropractic has been around for the past 100 years. A gentle health profession that deals with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, and the effects of these disorders on the function of the nervous system and general health. Chiropractic care is effective in the management of headaches, low back pain, neck pain, whiplash injuries, and sports injuries as well as jaw pain. Chiropractic care is not painful, and often is used to help relaxation of the body by treating tight muscles and relieving tension within the joints of the spine through gentle manipulation. As chiropractic is a holistic treatment, dietary advice may be given, as well as advice on posture and exercises. People from all walks of life, from babies through to elderly folk will benefit greatly from chiropractic care, and it is very effective in helping mothers with the changes that take place during and after pregnancy.
